    User-Centered Research

I am an expert in conducting usability studies, and am proficient in methodologies ranging from intercept interviews "in the wild" with low fidelity prototypes to concept testing advanced hardware in state-of-the-art research labs. I have advised a variety of clients and product teams to develop user-friendly, mobile technology with a focus on accessibility. My experience championing research in academic and corporate settings makes me an effective liaison in many environments.

    Focus on Accessibility

I have collaborated with numerous clients to perform accessibility assessments and usability tests, aimed at enhancing the user experience for individuals with disabilities. Our primary focus has been on teenagers and adults who are blind or have visual impairments, are deaf or have hearing impairments, or have cognitive and motor disabilities. I conduct in-home research to assess the effectiveness of mobile and desktop technologies for these individuals, developing baseline evaluations and proposing strategic recommendations for ongoing enhancements.

    Exploring Minds

In both undergrad and graduate school, I worked in a research lab designing and implementing experiments aimed to address issues related to racial stereotyping and prejudice. My master's thesis study explored how students communicate about race-related topics in dialogues between different racial groups.
